Jerome Boateng will not be joining Juventus from Bayern München, according to reports from various media outlets, including Bild and Sky.

Bayern gave the green light for Boateng to join Juventus on a one-year loan deal, but the 30-year-old ultimately failed to reach an agreement with the Italian champions.

Instead, Boateng wants to stay and fight for his place at Allianz Arena where he is currently considered to be behind Niklas Süle, Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard in the pecking order.
