Oscar Wendt felt Borussia Mönchengladbach were 'clearly the better team' in their 4-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday that saw them reclaim the Bundesliga's top spot.

'Die Fohlen' were 2-0 up at the break and ultimately ended up winning the game 4-2 after a dramatic second half.

"Over 90 minutes we were clearly the better team. We had an amazing first half and made a great start to the second. We conceded in an unfortunate moment. We knew it would be a tight match but managed to win by two goals," Wendt, who scored the 2-0 goal, told Gladbach's website after the game and added:

"Of course it's all the better that I managed to score too. The fact that we’re first in the table after 9 matchdays is a testament to our hard work."

Gladbach have taken 19 points from nine Bundesliga games so far.
