Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre has made it clear that he's not interested in coaching a national team.

Favre has been mentioned as a potential successor for Switzerland coach Vladimir Petkovic, whose contract runs out after Euro 2020, but the 62-year-old claims he doesn't want to coach his country's national team.

"Being a national team coach has never interested me," Favre said in an interview with Swiss newspaper Tribune de Genève.

"This task is out of the question for me. I have stressed that several times before. Nothing has changed at all. I like the day-to-day business," he continued.

Favre's deal with Dortmund expires in 2021.
