Report: Bayern turned down the chance to sign Timo Werner
The German champions could have signed Timo Werner in the summer, but instead opted to bring in Philippe Coutinho on loan from FC Barcelona.

The report claims that Bayern could have brought in the RB Leipzig star for just €25 million, but the Bavarians ultimately decided to sign Philipe Coutinho on loan from FC Barcelona instead.
Meanwhile, Werner committed his future to RB Leipzig by extending his contract at Red Bull Arena until 2023.
According to reports, Werner's new deal includes a buyout clause which will start at €60 million in the summer of 2020 and drop from year to year.
The German international has been in excellent form for 'Die Roten Bullen' this season, scoring 19 goals in 21 games.
