Patrick Herrmann says Borussia Mönchengladbach must put Thursday's disappointing Europa League exit behind them ahead of Sunday's Bundesliga clash with Wolfsburg.

Gladbach crashed out of the tournament as they were stunned by a late strike from Istanbul Başakşehir.

"We played well for most of the game, then in the last minute, conceded a vital goal. After game it was quiet in the dressing room, but everybody deals with these things differently," Herrmann said in an interview on the club's website.

"We've often shown this season this we have the ability to overcome such defeats and bounce back quickly, just like we did when we lost 4-0 to Wolfsberg. For us it's about moving forward and concentrating on the task ahead and that's VfL Wolfsburg," he added.

Gladbach face Wolfsburg away from home at 15.30 CET.
