Bayern München starlet Alphonso Davies has revealed that he looked up to Arjen Robben while growing up.

Davies, a natural winger who has impressed at left-back this season, was pleased that he got the chance to play with his idol for a little while after joining Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in January 2019.

"Robben was my favorite player," Davies revealed in an interview with Kicker.

"He's an absolute role model. His left foot was unbelievable. I watched him play while growing up. Those were great moments. I miss him," Davies said about Robben, who retired at the end of the 2018/19 season.

Robben made a total of 309 appearances for Bayern, racking up 144 goals and 101 assists.
