Bayern president Herbert Hainer: 'It's hard to imagine Bayern without Thomas Müller'

Bayern München president Herbert Hainer has waxed lyrical about Thomas Müller.
It's difficult to imagine Bayern München without Thomas Müller, says club president Herbert Hainer.

Müller, who is under contract until 2021, is said to be considering his future, but Hainer finds it hard to picture him playing for another club.

"All of FC Bayern's successes and titles over the past 10 years are closely associated with the name Thomas Müller. This season, Thomas is once again showing his great value, especially under Hansi Flick where he has once again emerged as an absolute top performer," Hainer said in an interview with Kicker and added:

"Thomas embodies FC Bayern and represents the club excellently. In Munich, in Bavaria and in the whole world. That's why it's hard to imagine FC Bayern without Thomas at the moment."

Müller has spent his entire career at Bayern so far, making 514 appearances with 194 goals and 182 assists to his name.
