Sven Bender faces weeks on the sidelines

Sven Bender will be unavailable for weeks after he suffered a knee injury on Saturday.

Bayer Leverkusen will have to manage without Sven Bender for a while after the 30-year-old was forced off with a knee injury in Saturday's 4-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

According to a report from Kicker, the experienced defender will be out for at least four to six weeks.

Depending on the recovery process, which is hard to predict with an injury like this, Bender could be absent for up to 10 weeks, as per the report.

Sven Bender has featured in every Bundesliga game this season so far.
