Alassane Pléa linked with Barcelona move

Apparently, Alassane Pléa has attracted interest from FC Barcelona.
Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Alassane Pléa is being linked with a move to FC Barcelona.

According to a report from Bild, Barcelona see Lautaro Martinez as their top candidate in the search for a new striker, buth Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Pléa are both under consideration as well.

The report claims that the Spanish La Liga giants would potentially be willing to pay €50 million to sign Pléa.

Striking a deal won't be possible at the moment, though, with Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl recently stressing that all squad planning is on ice for the time being.

According to Sport Bild, Barcelona tried to sign Pléa in January, but Gladbach turned down the interest.

Pléa has made 28 appearances for Gladbach this season, racking up eight goals and eight assists.

The 27-year-old joined 'Die Fohlen' from OGC Nice in a €23 million deal back in 2018. His contract runs until 2023.
