Borussia Mönchengladbach have confirmed that Tobias Strobl and Fabian Johnson will be departing the club when their contracts expire at the end of the season.

Tobias Strobl will be joining Augsburg on a free transfer while Johnson's future is unclear at this stage.

"Tobias Strobl has informed us that he would like to join FC Augsburg at the end of the season. We have also reached an agreement together with Fabian Johnson to let his contract run out," said Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl.

Strobl is currently sidelined with a muscle injury that is expected to keep him out until the end of the season. The 30-year-old has played a total of 83 games for Gladbach, making eight assists.

Johnson, 34, has made 140 appearances for Gladbach with 15 goals and 19 assists to his name.
