Official: Frank Kramer appointed new Bielefeld coach

Arminia Bielefeld have confirmed reports that Frank Kramer is the club's new coach.
Frank Kramer has been appointed new Arminia Bielefeld coach, taking over the reins from Uwe Neuhaus, who was relieved of his duties on Monday.

The former RB Salzburg academy manager has put pen to paper on a contract until 2023 with the Bundesliga side.

"We have held convincing talks with Frank Kramer and are looking forward to the joint task of developing our team in all areas," said Arminia Bielefeld sporting director Samir Arabi.

"Frank is a multi-faceted coach with a wealth of experience from both the professional and youth sector. We are convinced that, with his professional and analytical qualities, he is the type of coach that fits the Arminia path and that we need to take the next steps in our development."

Kramer, 48, commented:

"Arminia have developed well in recent years and are an exciting club that make a very serious and perspective-oriented impression on me. I'm delighted to be a part of this project. I have a great desire to work with the players and the entire team."

Bielefeld sit 16th in the Bundesliga table with a game in hand.
