Four German stars to retire from international duty after Euros exit?

There are question marks over the heads of Mats Hummels, Toni Kroos, Thomas Müller and Ilkay Gündogan following Germany's Euro 2020 exit.

Mats Hummels (32), Toni Kroos (31), Thomas Müller (31) and Ilkay Gündogan (30) could all retire from international football after Germany crashed out of the Euros following a 2-0 defeat to England on Tuesday, according to Bild.

Speaking after the defeat, Hummels admitted that he will consider whether to keep playing for Germany "sometime in a few weeks".

Kroos, meanwhile, is expected to retire from Germany duty after previously admitting that he would make a decision on his international future after the Euros.

As for Müller and Gündogan, it's currently uncertain if they want to remain a part of the German national team set-up under new coach Hansi Flick.

Müller played a key role under Flick at Bayern, which could make him more inclined to keep playing for 'Die Mannschaft'.
