FC Köln confirm Max Meyer will leave
FC Köln have announced that Max Meyer will not be offered a new deal at the club.
Max Meyer will not be offered a new contract by FC Köln, the club's sporting director, Jörg Jakobs, announced at a press conference today.
The 25-year-old midfielder joined Köln on a short-term deal from Crystal Palace in January. His contract has now expired, and it will not be extended.
"Max Meyer is not a part of our plans," said Jörg Jakobs on Thursday.
Meyer made 12 appearances for Köln in the second half of last season.
