For months, there have been speculations about the future of James Rodriguez. Will the Colombian international sign permanently with Bayern München when his loan deal expires in the summer or will he return to Real Madrid?

One thing is certain - Bayern have the option to sign Rodriguez in the summer thanks to a €42 million purchase option in the loan deal with Real Madrid.

The Bayern bosses have made it very clear that they want to keep James, but Bild reported yesterday that the parties still haven't started negotiating a contract. According to the German newspaper, the midfielder's agent, Jorge Mendes, wants to sit down with the Bayern bosses to discuss the details.

However, according to Kicker, the details are already in place: Bayern München and James Rodriguez have already made an agreement on his future salary at the club - and Jorge Mendes is well aware of that.

During the past few months, there have been rumors that James Rodriguez would rather return to Real Madrid, but the Colombian international has said he could imagine staying in München.

The 27-year-old has made 44 appearances for Bayern München with 10 goals and 16 assists to his name.
