Alexander Sørloth is looking increasingly likely to leave RB Leipzig this summer after being left out of new coach Jesse Marsch's squad for Saturday's 4-0 victory over Sandhausen in the DFB-Pokal.

"It's a tough situation for Alex," Marsch told Kicker and added that the 25-year-old wasn't left out due to a lack of motivation.

"He's done very well," stressed Marsch.

According to Kicker, Leipzig have decided to write off Sørloth, who arrived for €20 million from Trabzonspor on a five-year deal lasts summer.

Accordingly, the 25-year-old will probably step up his efforts to find a new employer.
