Dutch striker Sam Lammers' season-long loan to Eintracht Frankfurt has been confirmed. The 24-year-old will be given the no.9 tricot last worn by current RB Leipzig striker André Silva prior to his departure this summer.

As reported earlier, the loan-deal does contain a purchase option. It cannot be confirmed at this time if, as some initial reports suggested, if this clause is compulsory.

"Sam is a player who was one of our top targets from the start and we are very pleased that he will be playing for us with immediate effect," SGE sporting director Markus Krösche said in a statement, "With his physical presence in and around the penalty area, his technical expertise, and his understanding of the game, he will be able to help us immediately."
