Earlier this month, it was reported that RB Leipzig had beaten Bayern Munich and others to the signature of 16-year-old Swedish youth international Warren Ngana.

Now Ngana's club, Swedish side Djurgårdens IF, have confirmed that the young defender is indeed joining RB Leipzig.

"Warren has been progressing all the time and has incredible potential to become an elite player in the long run," said Djurgården's academy director, Joel Riddez.

“It's a bit of a success story and a great opportunity for him, with an agreement that feels good for all parties."

According to reports, Leipzig are paying €1 million for the defender, and the fee could rise by a further €2.5 million due to bonuses.
