Rose pens new Leipzig contract

RB Leipzuig have extended the contract of head coach Marco Rose.

RB Leipzig head coach Marco Rose has signed a contract extension. The deal will keep him at the club for another year, until 2026.

“I'm happy that we're continuing together. I'm from here and feel at home in the city and the region. It's a lot of fun with my boys, with the staff, with all the employees in the club and of course with our fans,” said Rose, who has been at the helm since 2022.

“Since arriving at RB Leipzig, we managed to successfully defend our DFB-Pokal title and lifted the Supercup. Behind the scenes, the club is working hard to make sure that we once again have the best-possible squad at our disposal. We know that we can achieve more and that we want more. We are ambitious and will remain so, all while keeping our focus on what lies ahead,” he added.

RB Leipzig sporting director Rouven Schröder said the club is “very happy” about Rose's contract extension.

“Our discussions in the past few weeks were characterized by mutual appreciation and, above all, a transparent analysis of the past season. For us, sporting success and our shared ambitions are above all else,” he said.

“As a result, both parties were soon in agreement that we wanted to continue on this successful path together, and the negotiations that took place over the last few days were completed in a professional and focused manner. Having been able to provide ourselves with clarity with regards to our head coach at this point in time already will also help us with other important personnel-related matters,” Schröder continued.
