Sky Report: Stuttgart appear most likely side to sign Köln's Chabot
Patrick Berger of Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart are now the leading club in the race to sign 1. FC Köln defender Julian Chabot.
Linked with Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt, it now appears as if VfB Stuttgart may be FC Köln defender Jeff Chabot's next club destination. This is reported by Sky Germany reporter Patrick Berger, who claims that talks between the Württemberg club and the the 26-year-old's professional representation are at an "advanced stage".
It been widely reported that Chabot will be available to other clubs via a relegation release clause in the neighborhood of €4-5 million. The cathedral city side's relegation isn't officially confirmed, but - barring something unforeseen - should be sealed this weekend. Berger notes that the Hanau-native has obviously deferred any decision on his future until then.
