Stuttgart's talks with Nürnberg for Jander stall amid rising competition

According to Kicker, talks between VfB Stuttgart and 1. FC Nürnberg are currently at a standstill.

Around 14 days ago, it was reported that VfB Stuttgart had agreed personal terms with 1. FC Nürnberg midfielder Caspar Jander.

However, the transfer is yet to be completed, as the two clubs have so far failed to settle on a transfer fee.

According to Kicker, talks have come to a standstill after Nürnberg rejected Stuttgart's initial offer of €8 million.

The 2. Bundesliga outfit are reportedly demanding €14 million for the central midfielder, with Benfica and Dinamo Zagreb also said to be interested.

Jander, 22, is under contract until 2028.
