Speculation surrounding Harry Kane’s future at Bayern Munich has intensified after a Barcelona presidential candidate publicly claimed to have made contact with the England captain. However, the striker has now responded to the remarks himself, distancing himself from the reports and reaffirming his commitment to the Bundesliga champions.

Barcelona president candidate Xavier Vilajoana openly identified Kane as his preferred attacking target, describing him as an ideal stylistic fit and confirming preliminary contact had been made as part of his long-term transfer vision.

However, Kane himself appeared surprised by the reports when questioned about the situation.

“I haven't heard anything about that. My father and brother are taking care of these things, but they haven't told me anything,” Kane said.
“As I've already said, I'm very happy here at Bayern. My focus is on this season and here at Bayern. I'll take that as a compliment,” he added with a laugh.

Clear commitment to Bayern

Kane’s response sends a clear signal that any speculation surrounding Barcelona remains external rather than something driven by the player himself.

The 32-year-old has been central to Bayern’s attacking success since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur and remains under contract with the Bundesliga champions until 2027.
