VfB Stuttgart are understood to be closing in on the signing of 1. FC Nürnberg midfielder Caspar Jander.

According to Sky Germany, the Swabians have agreed personal terms with the 22-year-old for a summer move.

However, the deal is not yet finalized, as Stuttgart have only recently opened talks with Nürnberg over the transfer fee.

Jander, who was part of Germany's squad for the Under-21 Euros, is under contract with the 2. Bundesliga side until 2028 and does not have a release clause.

He joined Nürnberg last summer on a free transfer from MSV Duisburg.
