Zwayer reportedly chosen as referee for Bayern vs. Leverkusen

Just like the last time the two teams met, Felix Zwayer will reportedly be the referee when Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen lock horns on Saturday.

Kicker reports that Felix Zwayer has been appointed as referee for Saturday's high-profile clash between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.

Zwayer was also the referee when the two teams last met in February, a match that ended in a comfortable 3-0 victory for Bayer Leverkusen, who went on to win the Bundesliga title.

This will be the fourth time Zwayer will take charge of a competitive match between Bayern and Bayer Leverkusen, but it's the first time he will do so in Munich.

Zwayer has already officiated two Bundesliga matches this season: Borussia Dortmund's 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Matchday 1 and Augsburg's 3-1 victory over St. Pauli on Matchday 3.

The 43-year-old took charge of four matches at Euro 2024, more than any other referee.
