Noel Aseko is reportedly set to return to Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

According to Sky Germany, the German champions have decided to activate a buy-back clause for the 20-year-old midfielder.

Previously, Hannover 96 exercised a purchase option to make Aseko’s loan from Bayern permanent.

The plan is for Noel Aseko to get the opportunity to show Vincent Kompany what he’s capable of during pre-season.

However, his long-term future in Munich remains uncertain, and a sale is still possible if a suitable offer comes in.

Aseko has been a key player for Hannover this season, recording three goals and five assists in 25 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga.
