Report: Bayern close in on Arsenal youth prospect

English footballing portal "Academy Scoop" reports that FC Bayern München are in advanced talks with another teenage prospect for their campus.

Having already signed Nestory Irankunda (18) as well as SpVgg Unterhaching prospects Gibson Nana Adu (16) and Maurice Krattenmacher (18), German giants FC Bayern München are reportedly set to acquire a fourth youngster for their academy campus this summer. English footballing portal "Academy Scoop" reports that the German record champs are in advanced negotiations with 16-year-old Arsenal talent Chidozie Obi-Martin.

The Danish born "Chino Obi" has been in the Arsenal academy since 2022. He's represented both England and Denmark at youth level and is also - through his heritage - eligible to represent Nigeria. Obi has scored 32 goals in 18 games for the Gunners' U18s this season, including a seven-goal haul in a 9-0 win against Norwich City's youngsters.

Germany's transfermarkt base site has listed the teenager as one of the most talented in his age group worldwide. The youngster told the Danish online portal “bold.dk” just a few months ago that he felt at home in north London, but may potentially be interested in moving to a club with closer links to his homeland. Obi maintains an estimated market worth of €400,000.
