Daily Telegraph reported Werder Bremen are battling with four English Championship clubs for the signing of Jordan Holsgrove from G.D. Estoril Praia. The former Scotland U21 international has played in the Portuguese first division in the last four seasons.

The former Reading and Celta Vigo player has a market value of €5 million, according to Transfermarkt. With no breakthrough in their negotiations with Al-Qadsiah regarding the permanent transfer of Cameron Puertas, Werder Bremen could now turn their attention towards signing the 26-year-old.

However, four English Championship clubs have already shown interest in the central midfielder, including Charlton Athletic. Holsgrove's contract at Estoril runs until summer 2028. Holsgrove scored four goals in 83 appearances for his current club.
