With just one year left on his contract at RB Leipzig, David Raum’s future is up in the air.

According to Sport Bild, the Leipzig captain is “tempted” by a move to the Premier League and is waiting for a suitable offer to arrive.

English outlet Teamtalk claimed last month that Liverpool and Manchester United have been scouting the 28-year-old left-back this season.

Back in January, Bulinews.com asked Raum whether he had held any talks with Leipzig about a possible extension, and he replied:

"No, not yet. I just focus on my game and my new role at the club (as captain, editor's note). I have a contract beyond this season, so there's no hurry at the moment.

"If the club comes to me, of course we can sit together and talk about it, but at the moment it's not a big topic.

“I'm very happy here at the moment and have a clear goal with the team this season, and that's all I focus on. Playing at my second World Cup after the season is another goal I have, and then we'll see after that," Raum told Bulinews.com.

The 28-year-old joined RB Leipzig from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2022.
