Jamal Musiala is expected to miss Bayern Munich's DFB-Pokal away game against VfL Osnabrück on Wednesday, according to Bild.

The German tabloid reports that “everything indicates” the Germany international will not be in the squad for the cup game, although a final decision is not expected until Tuesday.

Musiala already missed Bayern's first two competitive games of the season – a 2-1 Supercup win over Borussia Dortmund and a 5-1 Bundesliga victory over VfB Stuttgart – after suffering two collapses caused by absence seizures linked to a neurological condition.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany said on Friday that Musiala were doing “pretty well”, but the German champions don't want to rus his return to action.

“He’s getting used to the increased dosage of medication. He will return to the squad at some point and we’ll make the decision in close consultation with the experts. He’s doing well," said Kompany.
