After getting plenty of playing time under Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich last season, Eric Dier has hardly played since Vincent Kompany took over.

And as reported by Bild, there is a clear tendency towards a parting of the ways between the parties when Dier's contract expires in the summer of 2025.

Due to his lack of speed, the 30-year-old is not well suited to Kompany's style of play, where the back line stands high up the pitch, leaving plenty of space behind them.

So far this season, Dier has played just 120 minutes in five matches in all competitions.

In total, he has made 25 appearances for the Bavarians since joining from Tottenham in January.
