Towards the end of last year, reports emerged that Borussia Dortmund were planning to cut short Sebastien Haller's loan spell at Leganes and send him out on loan to Utrecht instead.

According to Spanish radio station Cadena COPE and Dutch publication Voetbal International, there's now been a breakthrough in the negotiations, with Haller set to join the Dutch club on loan for the remainder of the season.

Haller scored 51 goals in 98 appearances for Uretcht between 2015 and 2017, and the Dutch club will be hoping for more of the same from the former West Ham striker.

However, based on his loan spell at Leganes, they shouldn't get their hopes up too high. In total, Haller made nine appearances for the Spanish La Liga side without finding the back of the net.

Haller is contracted to Borussia Dortmund until 2026.
