Bayern Munich appear to have lost out to Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Désiré Doué from Stade Rennes.

The Bavarians have been making intensive efforts to sign the young winger, who recently represented France at the Olympics.

However, according to several sources, including Fabrizio Romano, Sky Germany and L'Equipe, Doué has opted to join PSG instead.

The French champions are now set to negotiate a deal with Rennes to complete the move.

Having also missed out on Xavi Simons, who returned to RB Leipzig on loan from PSG, Bayern could now turn their attention to a new target in their bid to strengthen up front.
