Aarón Anselmino has impressed since joining Borussia Dortmund on loan from Chelsea last summer, and the Bundesliga outfit have therefore expressed interest in signing the 20-year-old centre-back on a permanent basis.

According to Sport Bild, however, Chelsea have made it clear that they see Anselmino as part of their long-term plans.

As a result, Dortmund’s chances of keeping him look slim, with the report suggesting that BVB management has all but ruled out a permanent deal.

This means the club will most likely have to look elsewhere as they aim to strengthen their defence ahead of next season.

With Niklas Süle expected to leave and Nico Schlotterbeck’s future uncertain, reinforcements could be needed at the back.
