Noel Futkeu and Michy Batshuayi are about to leave Eintracht Frankfurt as they aren’t part of Adi Hütter’s plans for next season. Both strikers were not included in any of the pre-season sessions as Frankfurt will finish their preparations with a game against Brentford on Saturday.
Futkeu will be joining newly-promoted Elversberg on a loan deal with an option to buy. The 23-year-old was back at Frankfurt with the activation of a buy-back clause after he finished top-scorer in 2. Bundesliga with Greuther Fürth, who needed the playoff to avoid relegation.
Batshuayi is no stranger to Bundesliga with his previous stint at Dortmund, but he has only played 16 league games in 18 months. The Belgian international is now set to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab, who are coached by the German Thomas Letsch.
According to multiple reports, Futkeu to Elversberg is at an advanced stage, while the 32-year-old striker is already in Saudi Arabia for his medical. Frankfurt are also looking to offload midfielder Ellyes Skhiri, but discussions with Köln are currently stalled.
