Mario Gotze has been a regular for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, making 36 appearances with four goals and four assists to his name.

The question is, however, how long the 31-year-old will stay there. Götze's contract runs until 2026, but Bild is speculating that he could move to the United States before then.

According to the German tabloid, it's "quite possible" that he will seek a new challenge in the MLS "soon".

A move in the winter transfer period of 2025, before the start of the new MLS season, seems to be a realistic option.

“I look from year to year. I look at how I'm doing, how I feel, what I feel like doing,” Götze told RTL last year when asked about his future.

“I find the MLS in the United States very exciting… to play there and to get to know the culture.”
