Kaiserslautern ended a three-game winless run with a 3-2 victory away at Preußen Münster. Torsten Lieberknecht’s side last won on their travels on matchday nine against Karlsruher SC.
All their goals came in first-half as the captain Marlon Ritter scored his first two goals of 2026 before Norman Bassette’s injury-time strike. The Coventry City loanee added an assist to his first goal for the club.
Former Kaiserslautern defender Jannis Heuer scored his first goals for Münster with strikes either side of the half-time break. Although they’re still outside the bottom three, Alexander Ende’s side are in danger of going ten games without a win when they face Eintracht Braunschweig next Sunday.
Kaiserslautern will host promotion hopefuls Paderborn on matchday 24. They’re now three points ahead of Hertha in sixth place following Padebron’s big win over the capital city club.
