Hannover 96 captain Enzo Leopold is set to join Borussia Mönchengladbach, according to Sky Germany.

The report claims that Die Fohlen have reached an agreement with the 25-year-old central midfielder, whose deal with Hannover is set to expire.

If everything goes according to plan, Leopold will sign a contract with the Bundesliga side until 2030, with an official announcement expected soon.

Leopold made 34 appearances for Hannover in the 2. Bundesliga this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists.

In total, he featured 124 times for the second-division outfit following his move from Freiburg’s second team in 2022.
