Hoeness puts pressure on Davies: "He won't get any more money"

Uli Hoeness has put pressure on Alphonso Davies to sign a contract extension, saying Bayern Munich are prepared to let his deal expire if he doesn't accept their offer.

For some time now, Bayern Munich and Alphonso Davies have been haggling over a contract extension beyond 2025, but they have yet to reach an agreement.

It's been reported that Bayern are unwilling to meet Davies' wage demands, and honorary president and supervisory board member Uli Hoeness confirmed this on Sunday.

"We told him very clearly that if he doesn't extend his contract, we will let it expire. He won't get any more money," Hoeness said, according to AZ.

In the interview, the 72-year-old also took a sly dig at Davies, saying he wished the Canada international could do the same things as Spain and Barcelona winger Lamine Yama on the pitch.

"The way he does things - left and right. I wish Alphonso Davies could do that as well," he said, according to Bild.

Davies, 23, joined Bayern from the Vancouver Whitecaps in January 2019. Since then, he has made 195 appearances for Bayern, scoring 11 goals and providing 31 assists.
