As so often before, Omar Marmoush was the difference-maker for Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, scoring the winner in his side's 1-0 win over FC St. Pauli.

The Egyptian international was in special focus, with reports suggesting he has agreed a deal in principle with Manchester City.

Eintracht's board member for sport, Markus Krösche, addressed the rumors on Saturday and confirmed that a club has made an approach for the 25-year-old.

"A club has expressed an interest in Omar. So far, nothing more has happened," Krösche said, according to Frankfurter Rundschau, insisting that no offers have been made for Marmoush.

According to reports, Eintracht are demanding €80 million to let their star striker go.

“We will be talking about this all the time. You can't take all the rumors at face value. There are a lot of reports and rumors. But not everything that is said and written is true," said Krösche.

Eintracht's next game is against Freiburg on Tuesday evening, and Krösche expects Marmoush to be involved again.

"I assume that he will play," Krösche said, although he wouldn't go as far as to guarantee the striker's participation.

"I can't answer that 100 percent, I'll be honest. Our aim is to keep the team together unless something extraordinary happens. And that hasn't happened yet," he said.

“We've all been in this business for a number of years. When a player is playing so well, a lot of clubs are interested. That's the way it is now and that's the way it will be in the future. I don't lose any sleep over it.”
