Montpellier winger Arnaud Nordin is apparently close to signing for Mainz 05.

According to Le Parisien and Fabrizio Romano, Die Nullfünfer are poised to seal the signing of the 26-year-old, with the latter claiming that the medical is expected to take place within the next 24 hours.

Borussia Mönchengladbach were also interested in Nordin, but now look to have lost out.

Nordin has scored four goals and provided one assist in 16 Ligue 1 appearances this season.

His contract with Montpellier is due to expire in the summer.
