Manuel Neuer: 'The second half was incredible'

Manuel Neuer was delighted with Bayern München's performance in yesterday's 4-0 win over Benfica.
Bayern München captain Manuel Neuer has hailed his side's 'incredible' second half performance in Wednesday's 4-0 Champions League victory over Benfica.

The game was scoreless at the break, but once the goals started coming in the second half, there was no looking back for the Bavarians.

"I think the second half today was incredible," Neuer told DAZN after the final whistle.

"We gave very little away and had the control, but we couldn't really break through. When the first goal went it, things became easier for us. It was a great evening for us," added the Bayern goalkeeper, who celebrated his 100th performance in the Champions League.

"It's gigantic, I never would have believed it. If someone had said that to me at the start of my career, I never would have thought it was possible. It's a great time and we had a great crowd today."
