Bayern München coach Julian Nagelsmann was very pleased with Marc Roca's performance against Stuttgart.

With Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Marcel Sabitzer and Corentin Tolisso all sidelined, Marc Roca made a rare start for Bayern München in yesterday's 5-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart.

Roca has been limited to just four appearances this season, but speaking in a post-match interview, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann admitted that the 25-year-old proved that he deserves to play more.

"I praised Marc in the dressing room today, because he deserved it very much," said Nagelsmann and added:

"I love players like that, who have every reason to be angry with the coach and then come in like that. We all know about the footballing quality, but the way he fought his way in and the impact he had on the game - it was an outstanding performance.

"As a person and in terms of character, he has a huge heart. I love such players, who are so selfless and show the coach that it was a mistake to only let him play rarely and almost never.

"I'm self-critical enough to say that he showed me today that it was a mistake to give him so little playing time."
