Mainz confirm the signing of French centre-back
Mainz have confirmed that Strasbourg's Anthony Caci will join the club in the summer.
24-year-old Strasbourg defender Anthony Caci will join Mainz 05 on a free transfer in the summer.
'Die Nullfünfer' has confirmed the signing of Caci, who has agreed to a contract until 2026.
"I am very happy and proud to go to Mainz for four years, to represent the colors of this ambitious club and to give everything together with my future teammates. I'm also looking forward to experiencing the Bundesliga," said Anthony Caci.
Mainz sporting director Martin Schmidt commented:
"Anthony Caci is an athletic and dynamic defender, who is strong with both feet and, as a right-footer, currently plays as a left-back.
"He is a very flexible player, who can play in a three or four man defense in various positions. We have watched him frequently and are convinced that he will strengthen our team with his qualities and fine character, and that he can take further steps in his development."
