Borussia Dortmund have released a fresh injury update on Erling Haaland after the striker was forced off with muscle complaints in the second half of Saturday's 3-2 win over Hoffenheim.

However, it's still unclear how long he will be out for.

"On Sunday and Monday, Haaland was examined in detail," said Dortmund in a statement.

"According to the medical bulletin, Haaland is suffering from muscular problems that require treatment as well as further examinations in the coming days.

"We wish Erling to be free of complaints as soon as possible and to be able to do what he loves most: scoring goals for BVB."

Dortmund will be hoping to have Haaland fit for their next Bundesliga game against Bayer Leverkusen on February 6.

The Norwegian international has already missed six Bundesliga games due to injuries this season.
