After returning to action in February after a serious back injury, it seems Eintracht Frankfurt's Marco Fabian is getting closer to his top level right in time for this summer's World Cup in Russia.

The Mexican offensive midfielder was very delighted to start his first game for Eintracht Frankfurt this season as he got 90 minutes under his belt in the 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim yesterday.

"I'm happy. I've been working for this moment. I knew it could come at any time, and I'm always available to the coach to give my best, help the others and achieve the common goal that we all share," Fabian told Bundesliga.com after the match.

The 28-year-old was on the pitch for Frankfurt for the second match in a row after he played 51 minutes as a substitute in the 2-1 loss to Werder Bremen last week.

"I'm feeling good and have a lot of confidence. I'm back playing for the national team where I got to play and scored a goal so close to the World Cup, and that filled me with confidence," Fabian told Bundesliga.com after the Werder Bremen game.

Fabian has appeared 39 times and scored nine goals for the Mexican national team.
