Ahead of a monumentally important relegation six-pointer against Augsburg, the German tabloid reports that Magath was dissatisfied with the Algerian's body language in training this week and doubted his readiness for action. The 30-year-old has scored four goals and chipped in four assists in 25 appearances across all competitions this season.
In terms of other options to spearhead the attack, Magath cannot rely on the services of the team's leading goal-scorer Stevan Jovetic as the Montenegrin is out injured. Davie Selke is the team's only other natural center-forward. Myziane Maolida, ordinarily a winger, has worked alone up top in some instances this season.
