After the game, Eintracht Frankfurt board member Fredi Bobic lauded praise on the 20-year-old striker for his development since joining 'Die Adler' on a two-year loan deal from Benfica in 2017.
"His development is absolutely sensational. He was lost and was sinking somewhere at Benfica where he was playing for the reserve team. But we remembered his youth in Belgrade where he was outstanding," Bobic told Sky and added:
"If he realizes that he sometimes needs to run a few more meters, then he is heading for world class."
Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hübner has confirmed the club will make use of a purchase option to tie Jovic down to a permanent deal.
