Multiple sources: Özcan in Dortmund for medical ahead of transfer
Numerous German footballing media sources claim that Köln midfielder Salih Özcan is presently in Dortmund to complete his medical. The 24-year-old is set to complete his switch to the BVB.
German footballing magazine Kicker, German sporting tabloid Sport Bild, Sky Germany, and transfermarkt's Bundesliga team now all confirm that Salih Özcan's transfer to Dortmund is imminent. Reports on the fee are a bit more divergent, with the multiple sources reporting between €7 and €10 million.
Dortmund may be preparing to introduce both Özcan and SSV Jahn Regensburg keeper Alexander Meyer later on this evening. Özcan will step right into the gap in midfield left by Axel Witsel's departure on an expiring contract.
The versatile midfielder can play several midfield positions, including both the offensive and defensive side of a pulled six stagger. Dortmund fended off several competitors for the new Turkish international's services.
