Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of completing the signing of Alexander Meyer on a free transfer from Jahn Regensburg.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper, whose current deal expires this summer, has arrived for his medical.

With Marwin Hitz and Roman Bürki both leaving Dortmund this summer, Meyer will be brought in as a back-up for Gregor Kobel.

Dortmund have also agreed a deal to sign Marcel Lotka from Hertha BSC, but reports claim he might stay in the German capital after all.

Meyer made 30 appearances for Regensburg in the 2. Bundesliga in the 2021/22 season.
