Sørloth touted as a possible replacement for Modeste at Köln

Alexander Sørloth is the latest forward to be linked with FC Köln, who want to fill the void left by departed star Anthony Modeste.
Sky Germany reports that FC Köln have targeted RB Leipzig forward Alexander Sørloth as a possible replacement for Anthony Modeste, who recently left 'The Billy Goats' to sign for Borussia Dortmund.

Sørloth's RB Leipzig future is uncertain following the signing of Timo Werner from Chelsea, with Sky Germany claiming that the Norwegian international will be allowed to leave the club, either on loan or on a permanent basis.

Signing Sørloth on a permanent deal would not be financially viable for Köln, but a loan move could be an option.

Joel Pohjanpalo (Leverkusen), Branimir Hrgota (Greuther Fürth) and Jhon Cordoba (Krasnodar) have also been mentioned as candidates to replace Modeste. However, Bild reported yesterday that none of them play a role in Köln's plans.

Sørloth spent last season out on loan at Real Sociedad, scoring eight goals in 44 games.
