Official: Frankfurt confirm Kostic's move to Juventus

Filip Kostic has completed his transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt to Juventus.
Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed Filip Kostic's departure to Juventus.

"Filip Kostic will always be linked to Eintracht Frankfurt’s development over recent years and notably our Europa League success," commented board member for sport Markus Krösche.

"In light of his considerable service to the club and his impeccable conduct, combined with the fact that his contract was due to expire next year, all sides have agreed on what is a mutually satisfactory solution. It is also a measure of recognition of the work of the club as a whole when a player catches the eye of the world's elite."

Kostic, whose contract with Frankfurt was due to expire in 2023, stated:

"Leaving Eintracht is the hardest sporting decision of my life. When the opportunity came about, I felt ready to try something new after eight years in Germany. I’m proud of what we’ve been able to build together. The stories we’ve written will connect us forever. I'm grateful to Markus Krösche and Oliver Glasner for their understanding and open discussions, and I'll keep all Eintracht Frankfurt staff and fans in my heart."

Kostic scored 33 goals and provided 64 assists in 171 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt.
